I think "car" is one of the greatest inventions in modern life! Because in the ancient period, they just walked or used the horse to get to their destination. It takes a lot of time and is so inconvenience. I can imagne that I spend one or two days to get to the place I want to go. In modern society, it would only take about 30 minutes by a car.

Car is not only for convenience. Nowadays because the technique of making cars has been improving, the functions of cars has changed into various purposes. For example, The transport company can serve people for carrying or sending goods like furniture. It helps people to save time and to carry more goods than before. Furthermore, its other applications are also important. Such as the MRT, train and the high speed rail. They all use the same concept and technique to enhance the quality of our life.

Definitely, car has become the vital tool in our life. Imagine that if we do not invent car, our life must be full of inconvenience. We will spend 2 or 3 days to get to another place which is far away. That is really a messy situation. In sum, car is one of the greastest inventions so far in modern life.

In modern life, we invent lots of innovative things such as mobile phone and computer. Our science and technology has been improving every day. By using them, our life become more and more convenient. But we almost forget that no matter what perfect tools or equipment which can imporve our life, they all have their own side effects. For example, the air conditioner cause the greenhouse effect. No doubt the advanced techniques make our life better, but we should remember that our environment is gradually destroyed by our 'great inventions'.

Living at home and in the dorm are totally different situations such as the classmates. I deeply know what is the difference between living in the dorm and at home. Then I am going to introduce my opinion. First, I want to compare the classmates. Living in the dorm can meet lots of friends. But living at home can not meet lost of classmates and you just be alone to do anything like homework. The second point is the discussion. I can discuss the questions and homework with my roommates. Besides, we can solve the difficult questions by taking into consideration everyone's thoughts and ideas. But if you live at home, you just can do these things alone and you can not discuss them with your classmates. That is really convenient.

The third point is independence and the teamwork. Because you live in the dorm, you have to take care of yourself such as the laundry. You have to learn how to deal with all kinds of situations. And you have to learn the teamwork, that is, cooperating with others. But at home, your parents will fix you up with anything and deal with any problems of yours. You do not have to worry about it. As a result, you are not mature and independent. The fourth point is my personal opinion. If you live in the dorm, you will have more activities at night. For example, our classmates always play basketball at 6 or 7 P.M.. It is kind of late for me, so I can not play with them. In sum, there are too many limits for the night activities.

Definitely, living at home will take you lots of time and money on the transportation. Not like living in the dorm, you just walk 5 or 10 minutes to the classroom. Of course, living at home has more privacy and freedom. For example, sometimes you would like to read alone but you cannot. You want to listen to the music but they are studying or slepping. At home, you can do anything you want at any time like playing the music loudly. It has more freedom and private space. Finally both of them have their own advantages but I prefer the dorm living. Actually, I love living in the dorm.

The graduate tour!!

Actually we our class do not have a complete tour for the graduation. That means we just had a general gathering to 淡水 before we leave school. But we still had great fun although some classmates did not come with us. I do not know the reason but this is the last time we see each other. For me, no matter what I am busy with, I will go with them as possible. After all we have been classmate for two years. Let's forget it! We really had a goof time on that day. We just end it until midnight. Although we just have been classmates for two years, I still appreciate you guys very much for a lot of fun and memories. May you successful in the future!

The vacation!!

Last Saturday I wnet to 淡水 with my firends and some unknown girls. That day was really hot and I almost burned myself. We ate the ice cream for the lunch. Then we played the basketball machine for gambling on what the winer could order the loser to do anything. And our team lost for the game. I was order to carry a girl my partner on my back. I was deceived by them. They told me that they were not good at this. After that we played some funny games that we thought ourself. It was very crazy and excited. Finally we went to see the night scenes. That was a perfect schedule for us.

SBL

My friends and I went to see basketball games SBL. That was really excited. It was very difference between seeing the game at home and going to there. In the gym was more excited and flushed. No matter what team got the score. They just yield loudly and crazy. And when the team who support that lost the game, they just cried. That was so exaggerative for me. It was just a game. One team win and another will lose definitely. That was not a big deal. But I was very impressed by this experience.

What’s the difference of living between dormitory and home? I believe I can tell you guy clear and abundant idea. Because in my institute period, I lived in dormitory five years. And I have lived at home in NTUST for one year. So I deeply know the difference.

I am very impressed by the past five years of living in dormitory. I have lots of gorgeous, funny and sad memories. That was my first time leaving home, so I feeled strange and kinda homesick! At that time I really couldn’t adapt to the new environment. But when I break the ice with my roommates, I began a brand-new stage in my life. The living of dorm really has lots of funny and crazy things. I remembered once we hid in the bathroom to study for the midterm, because the we were forced to put out the light and went to bed at 11P.M.. We didn’t have enough time to prepare it. That was really excited and crazy for us. In another word, living in dorm can meet lots of people and see various things that you don’t know at all. Also the relationship with classmates is closer just like brothers, because we do anything together such as eating, reading, playing and chatting. Of course it includes doing the funny and crazy things.

Definitely, the greatest thing you can learn in dorm live is how to get along with others and how to do one thing with classmates cooperatively. Just like me, I was a shy and not talkive person before I lived in the dorm. In the five years I think I grew much and became happier and vivid. And the team work is also an important part in the dorm. You can learn how to plan, prepare, discuss and offer any ideas in a group. I remember that we our class were responsible for the sports meet. Our class the 45 classmates pulled together to prepare for it. We discussed and distributed the work to everyone. And we got the first place among all departments. We hold the trophy and took pictures. At that time we were so crazy and excited. That experience was amazing and profound to me. In the dorm you must take care of your all business, such as doing the laundry. And you have to be responsibility for yourself. That maked you become more independent and maturer. To sum up, the living of dorm can make you more independent, maturer and you can learn different things

Personally, I think living in home is bad to me, because it is so inconvenience. For example, when I have questions, I can ask nobody. One of the reasons is that I just meet classmates in the class. In another word, the time of staying together is a little. The transportation and the time is another main point, too. Generally, the cost is always expensive and it costs lots of time of taking the train. The only good thing to me is that it has more privacy time and space. You can do anything you like, because do not need to think about others or worry about whether I disturb them. Anyway I prefer living in the dorm than home. Finally I think that both of them have their own advantages and defects. And no mateer what kind you like, you can enrich life by various things you experience.

Listening

Listening, speaking, reading and writting are all important parts of English for everyone. I think listening is hareder than others to me. I believe that the only way to improve listening is diligent. And there are lots of tools such as listening to the radio, read magazines and so on. If you would like to improve your English, you must form the habit of reading English everyday. And don't give up and keep on learning English. If you don't keep learning, you will backslide at all. Finally forming the habit is difficult to everyone. But if you can defeat it, your English level will get better and better.

Dictionary

Recently I want to buy a synonymous dictionary because I think it is very useful for me. I have a vocabulary that I write myself. I used to read it and I also arranged the vocabulary for synonymy. But I did not understand how to use the word. So I think dictionary is a good tool although it is not cheap. I believe the dictionary can enhence my vocabulary and let me learn easier and faster. After all the tools are certainty very important and necessary to evryone who want to learn something.

At first the man thought he wanted to buy some toys and shouted at the boy angrily. But in the end, he realized the reason that his son wanted the 20 dollars. The boy wanted to by an hour to make his Dad come home early to eat dinner together. I believe that lots of parents work hard and tired everyday to earn the money for life or get promotion. And they just have little time to accompany their family. That's really sorrow!! I think that We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts. Why did you choose your major ?

Well!! My major is Industry Management. The reason for choosing my major are definitely not because of interest to me!! I have no interest at all but I don't dislike it, too. When I was at junior high school, I didn't prepare well for the examination of entering a higher school. So I didn't get good score and I feeled a little bit depressed then. Although the senior high school I passed was not bad, and it was on the middle. But I really forgot how i made the decision for studying an institute of ichnology. I remembered that my Dad told me the advantages and defects of these two totally different ways at that time. He gave me advice so as to let me have a direction to think what life I wanted. I think the reason of choosing an institute of ichnology was because the institute of ichnology was better than the high school and also could learn a professional skill. The second reason was because my Dad told me that "life doesn't just have only one way." This sentence make me determine to study I.M. for my future. After I graduated from the institute of ichnology. I pass the entrance examination of NTUST. I still studied the same major, but some of my classmates switched to other departments. I know most of students select the major is beacuse of earning lots of money or interests, but I believe that there are some students just like me choose the major for no specific reasons at all.

Actually, In the course of institute and NTUST. I took lots of classes, some interested, some bored and some excited. I realize my major Industry Management become more funny and interested. So I can tell my kids or friends that no matter what major you choose, you must make sure that you do not dislike it. That is very importnat because you have to accept it first and then the interest just can grow in your mind. Of course if you know your interest and then you can find your favorite way. Anyway I can say I choose my major by my intuition!!

Admire person

I admire my Mom. She is always optimistic to face her life. She never gives up for our three kids and my Dad, too. She is so kind and so warm to everyone . Sometimes I tell her "You are a little bit stipud for something,you know?" She always says "Doesn't matter or not a big deal, Ok!!" She is a real happy-go-lucky person and I love this attitude for life!! After all the life is so short, and we have to be happy for everyday, every moment.

Iron and hammer

I wnat to share a chapter that I read on internet. I briefly relate it . That is about a hammer and iron. The iron could not stand for the flame to burn him , so he talk the flame "Could you reduce your temperature , i feel very uncomfotable." The flame do it ,too. Soon the iron tooked away to the hammer and the master use the hamemr to hit the iron. The iron feel hurt ,so he tell the hammer "Could you slow down your speed " And the hamemr do it,too. finally he is send out to other places. But in a little he was send back to the factory. The iron see the flame and hammer again , he realizes that there are something in life you have to face it ; you just cannot evade it. If you evade it, then your life will be rot. I think it talks about some people's mind. some person when they are in a difficult time ,they will choose to evade it, even to leave it . but this chapter tell us if you evade it, it will come back for you at all. So I believe that difficulty can make people better and get improvement. The important thing is that we grow by beating the difficulty.

Important skill

I think the useful and important skill for a person to make a more better life is E.Q. and social contact. E.Q. can let people handle difficult problems by using easy way or not so serious attitude to treat problems and get along with others. It also can make you express your thought funny and useful. Social contact is about the talking skill. I think talking skill is more important than E.Q. You must practice your talking skill to expand the interpersonal relationship. Besides it also can let you easier break the ice with people , such as classmate or co-worker who you first meet. Talking skill is important for everybody, but it is also difficult to improve and practice. Maybe someone would say language is important, but I think the above-mentioned skills are definitely basic tools for language, for everyone. Right?

Introduction!

Hi! My name is Sean. I am four grade this year. I will gradutae at the end of May. I major in Industrial Engineering and Management.

I appreciate that i have learned much thing and met lots of people in this college. I am happy
and be more mature than ever. So that is my impression!i have two sisters and both of them are
live in south of Taiwan. Sometimes I feel kinda lonely, when i watched TV at night.and although
my Dad is already 60 years old, but he still works so hard to earn the money.For my MOM, she
works,too. I think they are great parent than others. And I appreciate that from my heart! All
this while, i have been busy at the graduated school exam. This is realiy a big challenge,but i
will do it as hard as i can.
